OSMS’s mission is to provide credible cost effective certification services for its potential and existing clients aimed at supporting trade, enhance the protection of consumers and the environment and giving the value addition services thru the auditing & training services.

POLICY STATEMENT FOR SA8000 MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS CERTIFCATION

OSMS shall operate and maintain a systematic approach for its operation to deliver credible management system certification services which shall satisfy the requirements of SAAS Procedure 200, 200A, 201 A, 201B & ISO 17021-1-15 Standards.

In doing so,

  • OSMS shall provide management system certification services as per the applicable accreditation standard in the field to give confidence to the interested parties
  • OSMS shall maintain a comprehensive, documented system which provides for effective and systematic methods of operation and ensure improvement of services on a continual basis.
  • OSMS shall ensure the certification process confines itself to matters specifically related to the scope of certification and locations of the applicants.
  • OSMS shall ensure objectivity, confidentiality, fairness and impartiality, manage conflict of interest and address associated risks.
  • OSMS will adopt and support the concepts of social accountability system and to comply with the requirements of SA8000:2014 in the operation of its business.

Objectives

To achieve the above Policy, the following objectives will be implemented:

  • Provide certification services within the time norms as far as possible;
  • Investing in personnel and ensuring competence through continual training to the concerned personnel;
  • Feedback received from the interested parties/Stakeholders are thoroughly analyzed and actions including corrections and corrective actions taken not only for improvements but enhancing confidence of the interested parties in the OSMS management systems;
  • Maintain completeness, accuracy and correctness of information related to services.
